Ferhat Celik
Ferhat was born in Adana, Turkey. His appetite for learning helped him master his skills as a photographer, as he is completely self-taught. His skills as an observer gave him a creative advantage. His early works are mainly geometric, containing heavy graphics. Celik’s works have been published in many magazines as well as exhibited around the world. He is currently working on his new book project called “East is East”. His latest works concentrate more on people and their direct contact with their surroundings, and less on the graphic aspects. Celik believes his direct approach--emotional contact with people--makes the story more powerful and significant. He will continue taking photographs, and chasing that certain moment in a certain location, as long there are cities to explore with people to observe.
